AMSUS awarded four $1,000 Maj Gen Jerry Sanders Scholarships in 2024 for students pursuing a healthcare-related career. Only individual AMSUS members, their spouses, children, and grandchildren are eligible.
The AMSUS Scholarship program is funded by an endowment from TRIWEST Healthcare Alliance and honors Maj Gen Jerry Sanders, USAF, MC (Ret), former Vice President of Medical Affairs for TRIWEST Healthcare Alliance. Major General Sanders
retired from the Air Force in 1991 as the Deputy Surgeon General. He is a Life member of AMSUS and a former member of the AMSUS Board of Directors.
